I Found Someone Who Makes Beautiful Memorial Jewllery – Pandora

Firstly I will once again apologise for how crap I have become at blogging – reading others as well as writing.  Life is just so busy these days and I can’t believe how close to Christmas we are.  Where has the year gone??

As many of you know I have spent the last 12 months looking for some kind of pregnancy/baby loss charm for my Pand0ra bracelet.  It took me a long time and who would have known all I had to do was look 20 minutes down the road from my house??  🙂

I recently came across a website that had the most beautiful memorial and keepsake jewellery in it.  Sue-Ella Signatures Keepsake & Memorial Jewellery. (Sue has also just opened a FaceBook page) I couldn’t really find what I was after so I contacted the lovely Sue, told her what I was looking for and within minutes she was throwing all different ideas at me.  It was so nice to be able to deal with a ‘person’ rather than just ‘click’ on a website and hope for the best.  So what did I end up with????  A beautiful ‘pandora’ style charm with a locket on it.  On one side of the locket is a photo of Zak, on the other side is a copy of the foot prints the hospital did for us and a little bit of hair down the side of each photo.  All sealed water tight.  It’s just beautiful.  You will have to forgive me as my photo skills are rather poor.  Who knew jewellery was so horrible to try to photograph??

I was lucky enough to get to meet Sue when picking up my charm and get to see many of the other beautiful things she was busy making.  She can add photos, hair, ashes as well as other memorial items to her jewellery and she has so much to pick from.  Shes really good at working with you and coming up with different ideas.  Things you would never think off.

Her caring nature is just perfect for what she does.  I’m sure I’m not the first person to tear up ‘WITH’ her (yes with her) but she is just so understanding and caring and you can tell she really loves what she does.

Sue works with many of the funeral homes on the Gold Coast and Brisbane area and takes finger prints and hand prints of loved ones to add to jewellery.  Thats not a job for just anyone!!

I hope I have done the leg work for anyone else who was looking for something for their Pand0ra jewellery or any other kind of keepsake jewellery.    I have put in my order for my Bday lol.  2 beautiful beads with a photo of Zak on one and Georgia on the other (I have 2 pandora’s – one for each of my little people) etched on the front.  Cant wait to see how they turn out.

Oh and she makes jewellery for people all over the world.

‘HOOT’ Has Arrived

Well ‘HOOT’ arrived at our house yesterday.   Due to the fact that I had spent all night and day vomiting with some revolting tummy bug I was not as excited at his arrival as I should have been but this morning – feeling much better – I was able to take the time to admire just how cute he is. He is part of G’s birthday present and I cant wait to see her face when she rips the wrapping paper off and he is hiding inside.  I will make sure I up load photos of this, but for now the photos I have taken of him on my spare bed will have to do.

‘Hoot Hoot’

Georgia just LOVES ‘Giggle & Hoot’ on the ABC.  The ‘Goodnight Hour’ is perfect for when I’m getting dinner ready and she is a little ratty.

Have been looking everywhere for some kind of merchandise from the show with no luck.  The ABC shop first said they were not doing anything but have since said they will be doing something due to all the requests they have had.  They have no idea when this will happen or even what it will be though.

So I kept searching and found this very clever lady on Etsy.  Her name is Maru and she lives in the Canary Islands.  Her niece (who only speaks Spanish) LOVES Hoot (no idea how she came across Giggle & Hoot in the first place)  so she made her her very own Hoot.

She now sells handmade ‘Hoot’ toys and ‘Hoot’ t-shirts (as well as many other things) so I thought I would post about them and show you a photo of what I have ordered Georgia for her birthday because I know how many of you love ‘Hoot’ and just how hard it was for me to find ANYTHING Hoot.

Hoot handmade t-shirt & soft toy

I will post some pics once G’s ‘Hoot’ arrives.  I just think its so funny that I had to get something from the other side of the world that is actually Australian!
