‘Hoot Hoot’

Georgia just LOVES ‘Giggle & Hoot’ on the ABC.  The ‘Goodnight Hour’ is perfect for when I’m getting dinner ready and she is a little ratty.

Have been looking everywhere for some kind of merchandise from the show with no luck.  The ABC shop first said they were not doing anything but have since said they will be doing something due to all the requests they have had.  They have no idea when this will happen or even what it will be though.

So I kept searching and found this very clever lady on Etsy.  Her name is Maru and she lives in the Canary Islands.  Her niece (who only speaks Spanish) LOVES Hoot (no idea how she came across Giggle & Hoot in the first place)  so she made her her very own Hoot.

She now sells handmade ‘Hoot’ toys and ‘Hoot’ t-shirts (as well as many other things) so I thought I would post about them and show you a photo of what I have ordered Georgia for her birthday because I know how many of you love ‘Hoot’ and just how hard it was for me to find ANYTHING Hoot.

For Those Who Love Bibs

Ok, so I’m a bib freak.  G wears one ALL the time when she is eating and has done since her very beginning.  I just have this thing against dribbled down clothes.  My sister thinks it’s very funny and if Georgia is ever without a bib she is the first to crack a joke.  I’m not so bib mad though that Georgia is in one ALL the time.  Just when she is eating.

Now thats she is getting bigger she doesn’t make as much mess but there is also lots more of her to cover.  About 12 months ago I was given a beautiful bib from my SIL that was towelling on the back and had a funky pattern on the front.  I have no idea where it has gone but I was devastated when I could no longer find it.

Anyway I have been searching high and low for bibs like I just described and now that I have found them I thought I would share with any of the other ‘bib loving mums’ out there.

Cathy from ‘Baby bib-bees’ makes beautiful handmade bibs.  They have towelling on the back and patterns on the front.  She makes boys, girls and uni-sex bibs and they are a fantastic size for toddlers.  She is a brand new seller on Ebay but Im sure she will be very busy once the word gets out.  I have found I no longer need millions of bibs but do need bigger ones.  I also love that they are a little funky and bright. As they are handmade each one is ‘one of a kind’.

Big Feet HELP!!!

Ok, this is so off topic it’s not funny but I’m DESPERATE and don’t know what else to do but ask here.  S has big feet.  Not the biggest feet in the world, I’m sure many have bigger feet, but they are big.  He is a US 16.  So we have the whole shoe thing sorted.  Took a while but we have done it.  Now what I am trying to find (and am convinced doesn’t exist) is a pair of size 16 rubber thongs (flip flops to those in the US I think)

I have tried ever tall/big shoe store here in Oz I can find and all I can get is a US13.  Thats what he has now and his foot hangs over by about 1.5 inches and looks really uncomfortable.  I did find a surf shop here in OZ that had size 16 in there mens thong (flip flop) section but discovered that even though I was looking in the mens section for some reason it was womens 16 and that their mens Hava1anas only went to a 12.

I just can’t understand why I can’t get bigger than a 13.  I can’t believe  S is  the only male in the world with big feet that would like to be able to throw on a pair of summer rubber pluggers for around the house or for down the beach.

I’m not after ‘flash’ thongs, just the simple rubber plain thongs in the photo above.  I have tried to look on the net at US sites but still have no luck.  If anyone out there in blog land knows where I can get large rubber thongs from I would be forever in your debt if you could post the info.

Kingscliff North Holiday Park

We are going to Kingscliff North but there are 7 different parks all within maybe 1 hour of each other operated by Tweed Coast Holiday Parks.  You can click on the different parks and you will get details of the accommodation.  Not all the parks have the Safari Tents.  Kingscliff North and Hastings Point are the only 2 parks with them.  We are not going till May. One of my favorite times of the year.  It’s nice and cool but still sunny enough for Georgia to play in the sand at the beach.

Movember – Raising Money For Mens Health
